Tectyl Cavity Wax Non Solvent is a resin/oil based, light brown/yellow, corrosion preventive. Its non-solvent properties ensure high efficiency, an advantageous environmental profile, with almost free from organic solvent and generates almost no smell.
Tectyl Cavity Wax Non Solvent is developed for industrial applications, giving good penetration into folds, flanges and cracks, as well as for the inside of car doors and other hollow sections of cars and rolling equipment.
Tectyl Cavity Wax Non Solvent cures to a light yellow, translucent, semi-soft film.
At the recommended DFT, the product provides extraordinary protection in the hollow sections, even in small seams and crevices, against corrosion.
With a DFT of only 50 microns, Tectyl 4D750 is an efficient corrosion protection, protecting a large area with a small amount of the product.
Surface Preparation
The maximum performance of Tectyl Cavity Wax Non Solvent can be achieved only when the metal surfaces to be protected are clean, dry and free of rust, oil and mill scale. CorPro recommends a substrate temperature of 10-35 °C at the time of product application.
Application
Tectyl Cavity Wax Non Solvent gives a maximum performance when it is sprayed at an ambient and product temperature of 10-25 °C. Shake the can well before use and spray at a distance of approximately 30 cm from the surface.
Tectyl Cavity Wax Non Solvent is fast drying, and this can cause ‘pin-holing’ when applied too thick at once. It is advised to spray one layer per pass, wait for 2 to 3 minutes and then spray another layer. Continue like this until the required film thickness has been obtained.
Removal
Tectyl Cavity Wax Non Solvent can be removed in the wet phase with Tectyl Biocleaner, Tectyl 150 or low-pressure steam. If dried and cured Tectyl Cavity Wax Non Solvent can be removed with Tectyl 150 or Tectyl Biocleaner.
Storage
Tectyl Cavity Wax Non Solvent should be stored at temperatures between 10-35 °C. Shake before use. Under proper storage conditions Tectyl Cavity Wax Non Solvent is best before 36 months after production date. Do not freeze Tectyl Cavity Wax Non Solvent.
