Tectyl supports engine manufacturers, system integrators, gearbox producers, hydraulic equipment suppliers, and industrial machinery OEMs. Our corrosion protection systems are engineered to protect internal engine components, lubrication systems, housings, and structural assemblies during manufacturing, storage, shipment, and commissioning. From combustion engines to hydraulic and mechanical systems, Tectyl solutions help maintain operational readiness and reduce corrosion-related performance risks.
Engines and mechanical systems are particularly vulnerable to internal corrosion during downtime, storage, and international transport. Condensation, residual moisture, and atmospheric exposure can damage cylinder walls, bearings, gear systems, and hydraulic components. Tectyl provides preservation and corrosion preventive systems designed to protect both internal and external surfaces without disrupting commissioning procedures.
For internal protection of engines and compressors, high-performance preservative oils such as Tectyl 915W40 and Tectyl 930 are used during storage and transport. These non-solvent oil-based formulations create protective films on internal metal surfaces, preventing corrosion while allowing engines and systems to be placed into service with minimal preparation. They are suitable for combustion engines, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and auxiliary machinery.
External housings and system structures can be protected using general corrosion preventive coatings such as Tectyl 506, Tectyl 506-WD, and Tectyl 127 CGW, depending on exposure conditions. Water-displacing formulations are particularly valuable after hydro-testing or cleaning processes, reducing flash rust and supporting production efficiency.
For high-temperature components and aluminium surfaces, Tectyl 3217-E provides a transparent, UV-resistant polymer dispersion coating suitable for engine blocks, brackets, and chemical-resistant applications. Its transparent finish allows visual inspection while maintaining corrosion protection.
Enclosed structural sections and welded joints within system assemblies can be protected using penetrating cavity waxes such as Tectyl 4D750 and Tectyl 550-ML, ensuring corrosion control in seams and overlapping sections that are prone to moisture accumulation.
In applications where lubrication and corrosion protection must be combined, speciality products such as Tectyl 800-D BF and Tectyl 858-F provide additional protective functionality for pneumatic tools, mechanical systems, and industrial equipment operating across varying temperature ranges.
