Energy infrastructure operates in demanding environments. Wind turbines face continuous exposure to humidity, salt air, and temperature fluctuations. Power plants operate under high heat and mechanical stress. Engines, hydraulic systems, and structural components must maintain reliability over extended service cycles. Tectyl provides rust protection systems designed to safeguard both external structures and internal mechanical systems across energy applications.
For structural components, towers, frames, and equipment housings, durable rust preventive coatings such as Tectyl 506-EH, Tectyl 127 CGW, and water-based Tectyl 5506W-I provide barrier protection against moisture and industrial atmospheres. These coatings create hydrophobic films that interrupt corrosion mechanisms while offering different film characteristics depending on exposure requirements.
In wind energy and heavy power installations, internal rust protection of engines, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems is critical during storage and transport. Tectyl 915W40 and Tectyl 930 are preservative oils used to protect combustion engines, compressors, and mechanical systems from internal corrosion before commissioning. These solutions are particularly relevant for long logistics chains and seasonal storage.
For fabricated components, piping systems, and spare parts stored prior to installation, general-purpose corrosion preventive products such as Tectyl 506, Tectyl 506-WD, and Tectyl 511-M provide both short- and long-term rust protection.
Enclosed cavities and welded structural joints within energy equipment can be protected using penetrating systems such as Tectyl 4D750 and Tectyl 550-ML, ensuring corrosion control in seams and overlaps where condensation may accumulate.
In facilities where vibration and structural resonance occur, polymer-based coatings such as Tectyl 5638W can contribute to vibration control while maintaining rust resistance, particularly in equipment housings and industrial enclosures.
Surface preparation remains essential in energy equipment manufacturing. Tectyl 150 and Tectyl Biocleaner support substrate preparation before coating application, directly influencing adhesion and long-term protective performance.
