Our corrosion protection systems are engineered to protect vessels, offshore structures, and marine equipment exposed to salt spray, humidity, mechanical stress, and long transport cycles. From ship construction to offshore maintenance and export preservation, Tectyl solutions help reduce corrosion-related downtime and extend asset service life.
Marine and offshore environments are among the most aggressive corrosion conditions. Continuous salt exposure, high humidity, condensation, vibration, and mechanical wear accelerate metal degradation. Tectyl provides rust protection systems designed to perform under these demanding conditions across ships, offshore platforms, port equipment, and marine machinery.
For exposed steel structures and chassis components, high-build coatings such as Tectyl 506-EH and Tectyl 127 CGW provide strong barrier protection against salt-laden air and weathering environments. These wax- and oil-based systems create hydrophobic films that limit moisture and oxygen contact with metal surfaces, interrupting corrosion mechanisms at an early stage.
For shipbuilding and structural fabrication, cavity waxes such as Tectyl 4D750 and Tectyl 210-R protect enclosed sections, welded joints, and hollow structural areas where condensation and trapped salt moisture can initiate internal corrosion. Their penetrating characteristics allow protection of seams and overlaps that are otherwise difficult to reach.
During storage and international shipment of marine components, general rust preventive solutions such as Tectyl 506, Tectyl 5506W-I, and water-displacing Tectyl 506-WD protect pipes, tubing, hydraulic systems, spare parts, and machined components. Transparent coatings such as Tectyl 300G Clear E allow inspection without removal, supporting quality assurance during offshore installation.
For engines, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems used in marine and offshore applications, preservative oils such as Tectyl 930 and Tectyl 915W40 provide internal corrosion protection during lay-up, transport, and long-term storage. These systems help maintain readiness of propulsion and auxiliary equipment before commissioning.
In offshore and public marine transport applications, polymer-based coatings such as Tectyl 5638W can also contribute to vibration and noise reduction while maintaining rust protection, particularly in enclosed equipment compartments and structural panels.
